Teatime with Mrs. Joho: Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea
Right now, the world is experiencing an unprecedented and yet frightening time with the Covid-19 pandemic. Everyone is staying inside, wearing masks, washing their hands, and having happy hour via Zoom. However, we are fighting and we will win! It’ll take some time, but we will recover from this, I truly believe that. Until then, let’s continue fighting and protecting ourselves the best we can. Another way I can think of to possibly protect our bodies from colds and the flu is by drinking tea, specifically Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea.
What is Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea?
My good friend, Melinda sent me a couple of different teas to try for this blog and Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea was one of them. (She also included It Works! Keto Tea as she is a distributor. I will discuss that tea soon.) This tea includes strawberries, rose petals, vitamin C, and rosehip; pretty much everything needed in order to help fight colds and flu while also tasting good. Let me tell you, as this tea was steeping, all I smelled was strawberries and it was amazing. However, upon drinking it, you do get a mixture of fruity and earthy flavors. Now it was more on the sweet side because, as I learned from an article on Zerocater.com, rosehip is “made from the fruit of the rose plant, [so] rosehip tea has a lightly sweet and tart flavor.”
I’m sure you’re probably thinking a mixture of fruity and earthy flavors doesn’t make for a great combination, but it did. Plus, as I let it sit – as I do with all my teas because I forget that I even made it – the strawberry flavor did come out more. In other words, if you want to taste strawberry over everything else, then let your tea sit.
What Are the Benefits of Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea?
I also learned from the article on Zerocater.com, which writer and blogger Kristen Seymour wrote, that rosehip is “vitamin-packed and antioxidant rich, and a strong astringent.” It also contains an “elevated concentration of vitamin C”, which “makes it a good immunity-booster.” Right now, I think that’s what we need. However, vitamin C (a.k.a. ascorbic acid) doesn’t just help with our immune system. There are a plethora of other benefits to taking vitamin C, like preventing cardiovascular disease, cancer, and assisting with eye health. Having vitamin C in your body can also help prevent a stroke and putting vitamin C on your skin can fight the signs of aging.
In the end, I definitely recommend Red Rose Immunity Strawberry Rose Tea. Not only will this tea be helpful during this bizarre time, but also when the “normal” cold and flu seasons hit us. It may not stop a cold or flu from coming, but it’ll help us fight it, so it doesn’t become worse. Please stay safe and smart during the Covid-19 pandemic. We will get through this and come out stronger than ever!
